Worship at CF
Corporate Worship is one or our core values at CF. One of the main ways this is expressed is when we respond to the revelation of who God is and all that he has done for us through Jesus with music and song. As we gather in worship, God meets with us and opens our eyes to see more of him. In turn we grow closer to him, become more like Jesus, and live lives that display the greatness, goodness and worth of God.
Expressing Worship
The Bible doesn’t tell us everything about how we are to worship, but it does tell us some things. First of all our worship should be centered on God. We don’t worship to seek an experience or get something from God; instead, we give expression in praise of God for who he is. We know that our expression falls far short of the expression that God deserves, but we desire to worship with genuine passion, in participation with other believers, and with freedom to express worship as exemplified in the Bible with singing, clapping, uplifted hands, dancing, and kneeling (Psalm 47:6, 47:1, 149:3, 95:6).
Not all of these expressions of worship are part of every time we gather and worship. Each service is different as we seek to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit during our meetings and in our preparation. Sometimes worship may be loud, enthusiastic, and jubilant while other times it may be quiet and meditative.
