Women’s Ministry Groups

Purpose

In addition to the small groups and Bible studies we offer at CF, there are several, more informal groups available, just for us girls!

List of Groups

• Quilting Group “Sew Sisters”: Michelle Babcock michellebabcock1020@yahoo.com
• Running Group: Elly Barton   ellybarton@gmail.com. We meet Sunday mornings at 6:00 and various times and places during the week.
• Mom’s Night Out: Tina Argo ptjrnargo@gmail.com. We meet the second Tuesday of each month having dinner out at different restaurants at 7:00. We also meet the fourth Thursday of the month for a game night in someone’s home and we bring in food to share. We meet through the summer, too!
• Hungry Girls Bible Study: Linda Ealey lealey@mchsi.com. We are a group of ladies who are hungry for God’s Word and good food! We are currently going through a Beth Moore Bible Study called “Believing God”. We watch the videos, eat, discuss the study, and of course pray!
• Multi-generational Bible Study: Dana Clemons clemons@socket.net. We meet on Tuesday mornings throughout the school year at Christian Fellowship. We vary from doing video driven Bible Study’s to searching out books of the Bible to practical books on marriage and parenting, to spiritual books on our relationship with God.
• Girls Only Bible Study: Mary DeSantis mdesantis@cfsknights.org. The group is called “Girls Only Bible Study” and is for 5th and 6th grade girls. We are meeting on Mondays after school, from 4:00 – 5:00, at CFS. We are having a time of fellowship, Bible study, discussion, and prayer. The theme of the study is relationships: with God, friends, our family, and…boys. Claire Desantis and Lauren Koske help to lead the group.
• Movie Night: Nancy Roe wilderoe@gmail.com. We will meet together to view and discuss inspirational contemporary or vintage films from prior decades, documentaries that shed light on the world in which we live, and downloads of faith messages from Gateway Church, Austin, TX and/or Beth Moore downloads. Our goal is to be inspired to see God’s vision for our lives and catch a glimpse of what we may do to impact our world. We’ll make friends, have fun, and pursue Christ’s calling in our lives!
• Young Professionals: The Young Professionals Group is a group of people (23-35 although the age varies a lot) that meet once a week to study the Bible, hang-out, do activities together, and share meals. We meet between 5:30pm-6pm every Sunday. We rotate locations and once a month we do YP Women Only, meeting. The next YP women meeting will be on Sunday April 10th at 5:30pm at 109 Bright Star Dr. Jean Lee will be hosting this meeting. Wear your comfy clothes and bring a snack to share!
• College Women’s Bible Study: Rachel Prevette rzpq48@mail.mizzou.edu.  We meet on Tuesday nights at 7pm.  CF Live (the college group we branch off of) can be found on Facebook!
• Swyers/Stott Small Group: Gay Swyers and Cherie Stott gswyers@centurytel.net. We are a group of women 35 and older who gather together     for dinner and discussing our Bible study, or to have a “fun-night,” and pray for each other. We meet very other Thursday night from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. No childcare provided.
• Book Club: Rebecca Berry berry_rebecca@yahoo.com. This book club meets on the third Friday of each month at Rebecca’s home. Email Rebecca to find out this month’s book and to get directions to her home.
